Author's Notes: Response to my drabble request meme. A missing scene from The Eye, while John was taking the naquadah generators offline. According to the DVD commentary, a similar scene was filmed but didn’t make the final cut. Written for rollsttroll who requested “an Atlantis drabble about John while he was taking out Koyla's men.”
Elizabeth was dead. Rodney would be, or worse, once...
John slumped against a wall. He’d gone his entire military career without killing anyone, until today. He’d already killed five men, and still had a lot to do. At least he’d taken out the naquadah generator that powered the control tower so he couldn’t be tracked anymore.
John straightened and ran toward the next generator. He didn’t have time to think about this, he had a job to do. He could have his breakdown after he secured Atlantis.
John pretended the water running down his face was rain as he ran.
