Today was snowy! It's everywhere, in the trees, on the streets, houses, people... It's awesome. This morning I had an adventure in the snow!
It started when I left the house. I got to the bus stop in time, and just as I sat down the bus showed up, five minutes early. No big, they often do this because they dont want to pick up people on the route, so they cheat everyone by leaving super early so the next bus has to pick everyone up.
Alright, so. I'm on the bus, AC misses it, but on the bus I hear people at the back complaining that all the schools, including Centennial and Charles Best are out, why cant their school be out?
I go to Centennial.
I'm on my way to school.
I had a 'WTF' Moment.
So I go ask ask them... they tell me the internet has told them that Centennial and Charles Best are out.
I got off the bus, I know where I was and can easily walk back if school is out. I popped into Subway (Aika, the one on Austin? You know where I'm talking about) asking for a pay phone... they let me use their phone. I called home, Julia checked, school was on.
Crap.
I still gotta get to school!
I figured that hey, the next bus is coming soon! The new bus driver for the 'Late Bus*' is actually on time, so I'll just catch the next one.
*Late Bus: I take the Early bus, the late bus is taken by EVERYONE else. It's a nasty ride, always packed full of people wearing backpacks. It's slow, and late at least once a week (Thus making you late for class) but it goes all the way up the class and drops everyone off right next to the school... I dont take this bus because of lateness, and I like to sit around in the Cafeteria playing cards before class 8D
Anyhow, I go to the bus stop and stand for a while... a car tries to turn the corner and fails, so I go up and ask if she needs a push. She sounded so scared and confused! I dont think she's ever driven in the snow before (Who am I kidding, nobody in Vancouver has.) So I brushed off her windsheild and pushed the car... she managed to get moving, and it was all good. ^__^ I felt happy that I could help someone~
So, back at the bus stop. I'm standing there, a girl I remember being in the same class with in 7th grade walks up and waits with me. Ask what time the bus comes, I still have 5 minutes to wait.
AC shows up!
She missed the bus (Obviously) so she decided to walk, and tries to convince me to walk. I have this thing about not walking unless I *know* I have forever to wait. I have 3 minutes left. She wont leave unless I leave x3
Shar shows up!
She's at that bus stop at that time every morning anyhow, so she's wondering why we're there xD
We're waiting... and waiting... and finally, 15 minutes later, the bus shows up!
OH MY GAWD SARDINES.
SARDINNNEEESSS!!!
D= Sardines.
In a giant, metallic, ROLELING DEATH TRAP.
It was bad.
*Ahem* So yeah, the bus is supposed to go up this hill, you see, so it can drop everyone up by the school.
Not so much.
I was the *only* one who knew when the next bus stop was xD Everyone was freaking out... it was hilarious. It finally stopped at the proper stop and, I kid you not, 70 people got off of that bus. It was like a great pilgrimage up that hill and to school! Me, Jenna, and Elena pushed a car that was stuck on the way up xD
Finally, two minutes after class started (8am) we got to school. But it's okay, my teacher didn't show up until 8:30!
So yes, the classes where interesting. The snow was so pretty this morning! I love mornings with fresh fallen snow, the everthing is really light even though its dark and cloudy, it's like the entire world has rolled over with a blanket, and gone to bed.
Lovely!
So yes, I am in a good mood. I didn't get to see Chris today 'cause I was late, but she said she'll be at manga club. Guess what! She's a regular member of our schools GSA! *Is so happy*
