It's 4 AM. I just woke up abruptly. And of course I sit up out of the blankets to pull the laptop over, and it's cold, and now I'm awake awake. GAH. So I post randomly. Seems like the thing to do.
Picked up a Chill Mat for Eiji the laptop yesterday, figuring $30.99 was a reasonable asking price for something that's supposed to keep my precious Eiji (heh heh I made a Boukenger joke, shut up, I'm awake at stupid o'clock) from frying his insides out sooner. He does get a weetiny bit warm after a while, so this seemed like a good idea. And shadowriter wanted to get a new pair of jeans, so we ended up going to the West Hollywood Gateway shopping center on Santa Monica and La Brea since Target and Best Buy are pretty much right next to each other.
So she went to Target, I went to BB, and of course they have it set up so you have to walk through DVDs and CDs to get anywhere in the store if you, you know, want to avoid the big plasma TV-and-couch area where people hang out and play the video game demos.
. . . so of course I had to veer right, right through the A-E section of TV DVD box sets.
. . . and of course I happened to look up right as I hit the C's, and go, "oh hey."
. . . so of course I whipped out my cell phone and texted kajivar, koshkaphoenix, absolutesnark, and ladybug218 (who never replied, wah): "So if I was to buy a single Charmed box set, which season should I get?"
While waiting for responses, I started looking at the box set cover art, and just as I was picking up season 3 I got koshkaphoenix's reply: "3!" I texted back something along the lines of "Ha, I just reached for that one!" in time to get absolutesnark's "S3!" response.
. . . which was enough for me, hey, two out of four, and the timing and all, right? So I picked up my Chill Mat back in the laptop accessories section, then a new holster clip for my phone (that I am still getting the hang of), and headed out. Met up with shadowriter and headed over to BevMo to pick up some dealcoholized wine for her, a bottle of Riesling for me, and a few funky soft drinks. Hoped she didn't kill me when she found out about the Charmed DVDs Which she didn't, but I did get tons of "I can't believe you did that" looks, and "I can't believe you're making me watch this" mutterings when I popped the DVDs in later. *g*
Oh, and kajivar also said S3, but I was already in the car on the way home by then. But then, I figured she'd say that anyway.
