A few scattered thoughts on BSG 3.04 (Exodus Part 2)

First off, let me preface by saying that holy crap, I love this show. For all the little time quibbles and inconsistencies -- you know, I don't care. I really don't. For gods' sake, people, as I'm fond of saying, I'm a Xena fan. I am, by this point, immune to inconsistencies. This episode? Yeah, I'm gonna be one of the people ranking it as

I vote word, baby. And, also, kissing in hallways, and STEALING WEAPONS. And Sam is definitely too big to fit in a viper, so he'd have to be raptor pilot or ECO. AND. Besides, the marine sergeant needs a paperwork bitch.

Gods this episode was too damn good wasn't it?

Adama is so awesome I have no words for him. SEriously, NO WORDS. With Galactica in atmo and shooting off his ships while on fire . . . I was just in awe. My whole family and I were clapping when we were watching it and proclaiming Adama's awesomeness.

And Starbuck's still Starbuck even when she's being maternal. Still, the look of heartbreak on her face when Kasey's real mom took her away was really sad. Starbuck fit as a mother very well. Personally, I'd like to see more of this side of her.

But poor Ellen and Tigh, I mean . . . dude Tigh is one tough old bird wasn't he.

And Lee was badass wasn't he?

But ADAMA!

The bit with Galactica falling through the atmosphere was just mind-numbingly awesome. In that "OMG did they just do that" kind of way.

The end of S2 really left me going, okay, there's no way they can make this work, there's no plot that they can have that will make this work... and yet, it has, and so well.

I feel so sorry for Starbuck now. She's gonna be mentally broken for a while.
