Christmas Morning
It was still dark outside when Orlando woke up, so he glanced at the clock: it showed 2.30am in glowing red numbers. He groaned internally; it was really no time to be awake, especially not when the bed was so warm and cozy. Then he remembered what day it was and a huge smile spread over his face. It was Christmas.
He lifted his head to gaze at Viggo but the older man was still peacefully asleep and so beautiful Orlando's heart hurt just looking at him. Orlando put his head back down on Viggo's chest, inhaling deeply, surrounding his senses with the man he loved. Viggo smelled just right, like everything Orlando ever wanted. The skin under Orlando's chin was soft and slightly furry and he could hear Viggo's heart beating under his ear. His eyes drifted shut again and he was almost asleep when he realized why he'd woken up in the first place. It was Christmas.
In a few seconds time Orlando managed to disentangle himself from Viggo without waking him up and getting out of bed. He paused next to the bed for a moment, looking down on Viggo with a soft smile. Then he bent down and pressed a soft kiss to Viggo's temple before getting his robe from behind the bedroom door. He pulled it on as he tiptoed downstairs to the living room and the great big tree that they had brought in and decorated together. The lights in the tree had been left on over night painting the room in shadows and gold. Orlando inhaled the wonderful smell of Christmas that reached his nose from the tree and padded over to sit on the couch facing the tree.
Stacks of presents in brightly colored wrapping were resting under the tree, and Orlando's fingers itched to tear the wrappings off and get to the gifts inside. For once he hadn't asked for anything special; he hadn't been able to think of a single thing that he wanted or needed. So he knew that every gift came from the heart of the giver and that made him even more curious as to what he'd receive. His mother always gave him sensible things, and he loved her for it. His sister always gave him a movie or a CD, and a book; always unexpected titles but good nonetheless. What Viggo would give him though was a complete mystery, but Orlando just knew it would be better than good.
Orlando's eyes were very keen when it came to presents and he spotted a small box partially hidden behind the tree that looked a whole lot like it contained jewelry, or more accurately a ring. Looking around furtively, he snuck up to the tree and brought the small box with him back to the couch. It was a roughly square, black and velvety box with a bulbous top, just the sort of box to put a ring in. He turned it over several times and shook it for good measure but he found no tag of any kind. Finally, his curiosity got the better of him and he was just about to open the box when he heard a sound behind him, as of someone clearing his throat.
With a crimson blush spreading rapidly over his face, Orlando turned to look over his shoulder at Viggo who was standing behind him with a crooked smile on his lips. Orlando felt like a little kid being caught with his hand in the cookie-jar as he tried to hide the box in his hand.
"What have you got there?" Viggo asked. Like the bastard didn't already know.
"I was just looking at it," Orlando said quickly.
"Of course you were," Viggo replied. "Now come back to bed. It's too early to be up."
Orlando's attention was drawn back to the jewel box in his hands. "But…"
"Give it to me," Viggo said.
"But…"
"Now."
Orlando handed the box over with a pout, watching as Viggo slipped into the pocket of his robe.
"But you know… technically speaking, it's Christmas now so I should be allowed to open my pressies," Orlando wheedled as he got up from the couch and trailed after Viggo as he began walking towards the stairs.
"And technically speaking, we are just two guys living in the same house," Viggo replied. "Who said this present was for you anyway?"
"Oh… I guess no one, but…" Orlando trailed off, wondering why he'd gotten so hung up on that particular gift just because it looked to be a ring. It could be any type of ring really; it didn't have to mean anything. Just because he wanted it to be the important type of ring that spoke volumes of commitment, it didn't mean Viggo had been thinking like that at all.
Orlando watched silently from the door as Viggo removed his robe, throwing on the floor next to his side of the bed. He'd managed to spoil his own good mood with his thoughts of wanting commitment. There was no doubt in his mind that Viggo was committed to him and their relationship; so why was suddenly a stupid ring on his finger so important? It was like he couldn't allow himself to be truly happy and carefree, always wanting something more.
"Hey Babe," Viggo said from his position under the covers. "Why the long face?"
"It's nothing," Orlando lied and shrugged out of his robe.
"Liar," Viggo said as Orlando crawled into the bed and pulled the covers up to his chin.
"No, it really is nothing," Orlando said, annoyance creeping into his voice. "Apparently I just like feeling miserable, that's all."
Orlando rolled over on his side, facing away from Viggo since he in some attack of womanly logic suddenly was annoyed with Viggo as well. Viggo was not so easily repelled so he just spooned up behind Orlando, pulling the younger man into his arms and placing his head on Orlando's shoulder.
"What's wrong, love?" He asked, softly pressing a kiss to Orlando's shoulder.
"I don't know," Orlando said with a sigh; it was hard to stay annoyed with someone that was as lovely as Viggo. He put his hand over Viggo's on his stomach. "I guess I'm just cranky."
"Getting up early usually does that to you," Viggo agreed, pressing another kiss to the back of Orlando's neck.
"And apparently it makes you horny," Orlando said, shivering when Viggo's hot breath spilled over the side of his neck and ear.
"It's the tight little ass pressing against my groin. I can't help it," Viggo replied before nibbling on Orlando's earlobe.
"I can feel a hot hard something or other pressing against aforementioned ass," Orlando said with a smile. "Are you trying to tell me something?"
Orlando could feel Viggo's smile even though he couldn't see the older man's face.
"Can I fuck you please?" Viggo asked, shifting his hips so that his hard cock lodged itself between Orlando's ass cheeks.
"Just out of curiosity," Orlando said as he shifted, letting the head of Viggo's cock slide down so that it aligned with his hole, "During this time we've been together… have I ever said no?"
"No," Viggo murmured. "Can you take me like this?"
"Uhuh," Orlando answered with a sigh; he was still both lose and wet since the last time they had sex maybe a couple of hours ago.
"But I don't always ask," Viggo continued as he oh so slowly pushed forward.
Orlando bit his lips and made a sound of pleasure deep in his throat; it burned slightly since he wasn't as ready as he'd thought but it didn't hurt enough for him to ask Viggo to stop.
"You don't have to ask," Orlando said breathlessly.
"You okay?" Viggo asked, holding his hips still, as he picked up on the strained note in Orlando's voice.
"Yeah," Orlando answered. "Just go slow."
"I will," Viggo promised, pressing another kiss to Orlando's neck.
Viggo pushed in until he was fully inside of Orlando and paused. Orlando reached back with his legs, wrapping them around Viggo's, pressing down with his ass to keep Viggo as deep inside of him as possible. Viggo wrapped his arms around Orlando's chest, one of his hands finding Orlando's studded nipple and fingering it lightly. A small moan escaped Orlando and he shifted, moving Viggo's cock deep within him.
"I don't want to take advantage of you," Viggo murmured, rocking his hips slowly and sweetly. "Just because you'd let me."
"That feels so good," Orlando moaned, letting one of his hands slide down his body to find his throbbing cock. "I'm not…oh…a victim in this relationship and you're not the big bad wolf."
Viggo reached down and replaced Orlando's hand on his cock with his own, tugging on it in time with his minute thrusts. "God, you're tight," he rasped. "I know you're not a victim. I'm just…oh God…afraid you'd let me use you."
"Oh…oh…do that again," Orlando panted, twisting his hips slightly until Viggo's cock rubbed firmly over his prostate with every thrust. "Yeah…."
Viggo thrust harder into the Orlando's body, his fist sliding rapidly up and down Orlando's leaking cock.
"You're not…mmmm…oh yeah…using me and I wouldn't…god…let you."
Orlando got no reply, only the sound of Viggo's panted breaths as he focused on sliding in and out of Orlando's tight body.
"I'm sorry, babe. I can't wait for you," Viggo groaned. "You feel too damn…oh yeah…good."
Orlando moaned for an answer, closing his eyes and letting every thrust build the pleasure to an almost unbearable level.
"I love you," Viggo gasped as he came with a series of hard rapid thrusts that pushed Orlando over the edge as well.
He trashed with the pleasure as his seed spilled over Viggo's hand, his orgasm seemed to reach into the deepest parts of him and wash away the last of his uneasiness. So what if Viggo didn't want to put a ring on his finger right now? They would still be together and still love each other without it. He let himself go boneless in Viggo's arms, putting his hands over Viggo's, and just relaxed. Orlando made a sound of displeasure when Viggo released him and shuffled around behind his back.
"Come back," he pouted without moving.
Viggo did come back, his arms going back around Orlando's body, only this time he held the jewel case up in front of Orlando's face. Orlando blinked and reached for it, pausing when he almost touched it.
"Is it for me?"
Viggo chuckled, the sound reverberating against Orlando's back. "Of course it is," he said. "I'm not THAT evil."
"Not evil at all," Orlando said as he took the jewel case in his hand, his mouth suddenly dry with unwanted emotions.
He was afraid that opening the box would disappoint him, and he didn't want to feel like that, not on Christmas Morning. There was no way he could not open the box without upsetting Viggo though, so he slowly popped it open. Set inside the box was a ring, just as he'd guessed. His finger shook as he touched it to the broad band with a silvery matt finish.
"Is this…" he gulped.
"Platinum? Yeah," Viggo replied.
Orlando swallowed and removed the ring from its box, looking inside it to see if it had any inscriptions. There was one that simply said Viggo and the date of today. He turned the ring over and noticed that it had their initials entwined on the front in a classic flowing design. His pulse sped up until the only thing he could hear was the rush of his own blood in his ears. Viggo gently took the ring from his shaking hand and slid it onto his ring finger. He closed Orlando's hand around the ring and kissed his shoulder.
"Mine now," Viggo said softly.
Orlando bit his lip as tears welled up in his eyes; he didn't think he'd ever been so happy.
"Is this…" Orlando's voice broke. "Do you…"
He gave up his attempts at speaking and gave into the tears streaming down is face, turning in Viggo's arms to press his face against Viggo's neck, weeping in long hulking sobs without really knowing why.
"Easy, babe," Viggo murmured, stroking his hair and his heaving shoulders. "Don't' cry. I thought you'd be happy."
"I am happy," Orlando sobbed, clinging to Viggo like a leech.
As the tears slowly dried out and his breathing started to return to normal, Orlando realized something amazing. For the first time in what felt like forever, he was completely at ease. Now he knew for sure that Viggo wanted him for the long haul. All and every doubt had been washed away with his tears, along with the residue tension from their at times rather stormy December. If this was what commitment felt like, he wondered why people ever feared it.
He lifted his head to look at Viggo, knowing he must look a real treat, puffy eyed, with swollen lips and a runny nose, but Viggo just cupped his face in his hands and kissed him softly on the lips. Smiling, Viggo released Orlando's face and reached for the box that lay forgotten next to him on the pillow. He removed the plush material that Orlando's ring had been resting on to reveal another ring, looking exactly like the one Orlando was wearing. Viggo offered it to him and Orlando took it, sliding it onto Viggo's finger when the older man held his hand up for him.
"I love you," Orlando said, putting everything he felt into those three words.
"And I you," Viggo responded pulling Orlando down to rest on his chest. "Merry Christmas, my love."
The older man pulled the covers up around them and Orlando snuggled in real close.
"Merry Christmas, Viggo," he said when he was safely tucked into to Viggo's arms.
Viggo didn't respond as the older man was already asleep again. Orlando smiled, letting his thumb rub over the ring that now embraced his finger until he too fell asleep, the silly smile still on his lips.
The End
