That's funny. My last entry was 27 weeks ago, over 6 months. I remember the days when I had to update every single week or a few other days. What happened? Routine of life and just never enough time. It seems like I can never get as much as I would like to get done in a day. It's get up at 6:30, jump in the shower to help wake me up, rush to work, work to 4, go exercise, come home, eat, relax for a few hours, then before I know it, it's time to go to sleep and do it all over again. It's even worse when I have to go to seminary, which I thoroughly enjoy, or go to my other job at Kirkland's. Neither job is bad, in fact Canvas Products might be the best job I've ever had besides being a semester missionary, but who enjoys getting off work just to go to work? But it beats teaching anyday. Working to 12 hour days and dealing with so many issues is for special people. Even though, I don't have the money like I used to, I do have my sanity and I feel like I have a life. I can't wait for seminary to start back next week and I'm looking forward to moving to New Orleans in August, I hope. Maybe when I move to New Orleans, I can update more. However, I just made a book without a face.
Noticeable engagements: Ryan and Rebecca-December 15...wedding October 4.
Nick and Melissa-wedding April 19.
Matt and Katie-wedding May 31.
Other things that have happened over the last 6 months:
Being injured is not fun: Knee ligament strained on visit to Southern Seminary while playing basketball...6 months later...still not healed
Back: pulled muscle from work...lasted about 4 months...changed routine in handling tarps at work
Stomach: caused from not taking medicine while eating my food...not after. Intense pain from eating a lot of things but finally healed around November after over 3 months of it.
Alabama had a better football season but still stunk it up at times: 7-6...went to Bowl Game...say Woody Paige and wanted to speak to him but didn't get a chance to
Halo 3! Played at Graceville...best night ever of Halo...hadn't played since.
Brack came home from Japan for 3 weeks. He is about to be engaged. I want to go visit Japan...but lack of funds are big problem.
Fate/Stay Night became the best 24-26 episode series of anime I've ever watched.
To help to save up for seminary and possibly have a career...I'm going to try the post office. The reason I say a career b/c what I've gathered so far about being a missionary is that sometimes...you have to have help to finance your ministry so getting on with the post office with the pretty good pay and benefits seems like a good choice to me. Right now, it's just a thought but there is no way I'm going to choose it over going to seminary.
Jeff "says" he moves to Colorado to live there for a week to move back with a busted kneecab.
Run into Holli, a girl that I always liked ever since I have known her since kindergarten, at a football game. She asks me to have lunch with her. Turns out she is married and has a kid. She said her husband said it was ok but I tried to invite him as long as well b/c I didn't want to be accused of cheating. But Holli kept on telling me that he didn't mind and she always had something come up. I'm disappointed b/c it would have been nice to go to lunch with her b/c I would have never believed that I would have never got to go to lunch with her, ever. Well, it that doesn't work out, I guess I can always talk to her over the phone and make some kind of friendship out of it...
Next entry, who knows?
