that's not too bad, right? how about i have to read all those plus more i may come across by the end of the year. cmon, that's one or two a month or something.
back to writing this play for ap lit. here are my ideas i'm working with:
a. Andy Warhol is reincarnated in the body of a twelve-year-old. his family and peers try to understand his strange behavior as he tries to fit in at school.
b. two white male characters speak and interact in the way that Run-DMC or the Beastie Boys rap. have to overcome racial stereotyping as they strive to define their identity.
c. a child in New Orleans tries to get his/her old musician grandparent to let go of their beloved instrument during the flood.
i'll post the scenes once i have them workshopped.

ok here's the premise of the play i'm writing now.
it's going to be about the tallest man in the world and how he saved those two dolphins in china last year. (read about that
here.) what i want to do is briefly chronicle his life in about two acts [his birth and maybe growing up in school or something], then get to the action of the chinese dolphin experts discovering the problem and then him saving the day. then i'll probably have one extra scene explaining some aftermath.
it's going to be sweet, just wait.
