I believe I mentioned a short time ago (or a long time, as I've been remiss in updating) that Galen and I were undertaking a mission together. We did. It went smoothly. We were able to attend a Tauri military function without drawing much attention to ourselves, and I do believe our objectives were accomplished.
But, really, the whole breakfast thing was a bit much.
I suppose I should explain. I don't like eggs. I can eat them, but I really would rather not. It's not really a thing against Tauri food; they had eggs on my planet and I didn't like them either. K'tyr, on the other hand...well, hosts and symbiotes have different tastes, and we come to agreements on what we will and won't eat/do/etcetera. Ask Selmak about Jacob's taste for coffee sometime. But, anyway, K'tyr and I reached something of a truce, because there are things I like that she doesn't, and in a blending, some compromises must be reached.
I went to bed, as the trip was tiring, and woke up in the middle of breakfast. This is a uniquely Tok'ra moment, as far as I know...I don't mean regaining awareness of the world. I mean, literally, I woke up. K'tyr and Galen had apparently gotten hungry while Edward (oh, wait, he asked me to call him Ed) slept and they went out for breakfast at a diner, using our voices in order not to draw attention to themselves. And K'tyr had decided since I was asleep that toast with eggs on the side couldn't hurt. (Stop laughing. Have you ever woke up to find yourself eating something you're not terribly fond of?)
There's more of this mission, but I believe a full report will have to wait. Now I'm the one who's hungry...and I happen to have some Pepsi.... Fair's fair, after all. K'tyr can find eggs anywhere. As far as I know, the Tauri are the only ones who have managed to create Pepsi.
It's fun, being able to tease your best friend this way....
