The Bielefeld Conspiracy - and Epic News. ;-)

No doubt this announcement will cause complete confusion with most of my friendslist, but: Die Bielefeld Verschwörung has been made into a movie! :-)

To explain: The Bielefeld Conspiracy is a running gag on the internet concerning the German city Bielefeld, which - as word has it - doesn’t actually exist. All apparent signs of its existence are merely subterfuge, organized by THEM (THEIR identity is uncertain, but THEY probably include the government, the CIA, and/or aliens).

All I can say is that I have never been to Bielefeld. Have you? Do you know anyone who has?

Now, some film students who claim to attend the University of Bielefeld have made a movie about this conspiracy. It's pretty obvious it’s a semi-professional effort at best - some of the acting in the trailer seems dubious, and the trailer itself fails to convey much of anything at all about the movie, except that it seems to have lengths. But still! It’s a movie about the internet-gag-created Bielefeld Conspiracy! I think that's pretty cool, and if the movie ever makes it out of Bielefeld into real cinemas, I will definitely go and see it. ;-)

You can check out the trailer here. The last 30 seconds are the best, imo, so if the rest bores you, skip ahead to 3:20 to see the heroes’ amazing discovery of a hidden city, as well as the most grandiosely cheesy line ever: "Und sehen wir uns nicht in dieser Welt… dann sehen wir uns in Bielefeld." (And if we don’t see each other again in this world… then we’ll see each other again in Bielefeld.)

In other news - I am almost afraid to say this in case I jinx myself, but the sparkly jpop epic is nearing completion. Despite my glacially slow pace, it really needs only a very few more scenes to reach a state of jagged rough-hewn unedited messiness that - by virtue of having all relevant bits in *some* shape or other - I have decided to term "first draft".

Plus, yesterday I had an idea of how to make one of the remaining unfinished sex scenes actually *interesting*, which, yay! :-) Now I am really only lacking a bright idea for that one damn remaining pivotal scene. Well, that and actually written and complete versions of all scenes, of course.

crack, writing
