It's time to start collecting possible Yuletide fandoms again... and to assure myself that I really don't have the time. No, really.* Time flies!

Anyone else planning to participate and/or nominate fandoms this year?

It kind of depends if Haven is in it? I know that's sad and obsessive. I don't know how it slipped in last year, though.

Nothing else immediately springs to mind, except I'm watching Dollhouse at the moment if that's eligible, but if Haven is in it I'd probably be able to find other things I'd be happy to write and receive.

Something really random like the movie Con Air, perhaps, the greatest piss-take on an action film ever made. :)

I keep nominating 3x3 eyes for things but nobody else ever picks it.

What's sad and obsessive about liking a fandom? That's just normal fannish behavior. :-) I know I would really like Highlander, Due South and assorted other absurdly unqualified fandoms to be in there, too...

I haven't watched Con Air, and don't know 3x3 Eyes... I'm thinking of nominating the Dubious Dentists again, but it's probably not going to be picked up by anyone, either.

One thing I do know is that I'm going to nominate Dark Matter. I'm keeping the rest of my options open for now. ;-)

I would totally sign up to write Due South. Maybe it would be nice to have an any-fandom fic exchange. Actually, there is Spoopy, which will let you write and request anything, that's the Halloween one. But it doesn't have many signups. It's managing the very open field by asking that everyone include a large fandom, and it will be interesting to see how that comes out.

I've never seen Highlander, Dark Matter or Dubious Dentists, although the name of the latter amuses me.

Con Air is just spectacular and stupid and has John Cusack wearing sandals and a beige suit as the world's most unlikely hippie liberal US Marshal and wrecking every type of machine he ever comes near while Nicholas Cage is hairy and manly on a plane.

3x3 Eyes is a 40 volume vintage horror manga that's not been given a full official English translation, so it's not all that surprising its fandom is scarce.

The Dubious Dentists are unknown to all but me and a small handful of people I have exposed to the ads - it's two hilarious ads by a company that thought it could save money by assembling its advertisements inhouse. :-)

And really, you've never watched Highlander? How have you managed that? ;-) Hmm, I think you might like it, actually, although it's a bit dated now... but if you have the time, you might want to check out the Methos eps, at least. :-)

Dark Matter is a new scifi series that I quite liked, though I have yet to see the last eps of S1. And it is extremely slashy...
