I want a Zauberbiest. Can I keep this one? Please?
Before the next ep of Grimm airs, let me just say some things.
THING 1:
I'm pretty sure TPTB invented Renard's current troubles expressly in order to have an excuse to get his shirt off.
To this, I say: well done, show. Clearly you know a good thing when you see it! Please keep up the good work.
THING 2:
Are you kidding me? Adalind finds out she's pregnant and decides she needs an alternate father, and the person she immediately thinks of is a Royal?? After all the drama with Diana that happened because she has Royal blood, what exactly did Adalind think would happen with her second kid if Victor bought the ruse? That she'd be allowed to raise it in peace and receive a nice fat check every month...?
To this, I say: This is not like Adalind, show. Foolish, arrogant and impulsive, yes; stupid as dirt, no. Keep up.
THINGS I DON'T LIKE THAT MUCH:
Still not sure what I think of the case of the week. Ditto with the way the Hexenbiest Juliette storyline (which I love love love in principle) is going; I still don't buy that this drives such a dramatic rift between her and Nick. Sure, it's a shock and everyone needs to adjust, but...
THINGS I DO LIKE THAT MUCH:
That Juliette barges into Renard's life like that, all demanding and forceful. I love that she evidently still feels close to him; that the ordeal they went through together has actually forged a lasting bond between them, even if we haven't seen them interact in the meantime. It's more than just Renard being her best source of Hexenbiest info, it's also that she feels secure with him, and feels like she has a right to call on his help.
Eventually I'd like to see this go both ways, with Renard demanding her help, and getting it. It'd be an awesome friendship, all the more awesome for being so unexpected.
IN CONCLUSION:
I want something more on Renard being a Zauberbiest, and how a Zauberbiest is not a Hexenbiest. Let Renard have some Wesen powers too, show! That'd be cool! (I'm sure his powers necessitate him taking off his shirt, of course. And maybe everything else too. Just a thought.)
Please don't spoil me for future eps, including today's! I don't watch sneak peeks and interviews.
