(no subject)
Since it's been about 4 months since I last updated, I suppose I should...
I'm excited for tomorrow! I'm participating in Day of Silence. It's a national youth movement protesting silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their allies. My deliberate silence echoes that silence is caused by harrassment, prejudice, and discrimination. So I can't say ANYTHING from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep... unless I write it, I suppose. Two years ago, youth were doing this and they wore all black and painted their faces like a mime's. I'm going to wear all black, but painting my face (although my mom surprised me by asking me if I was sure I didn't want to...). For those who know me a little more than most, I talk a lot. Tomorrow is going to be really hard for me, but I'm up for the challenge. I'm going to apologize now to those who I sit with at lunch, I will likely be really talkative on Thursday.
Since the majority of us that are involved in this are in choir, our teacher/conductor will be bombarded with little paper squares excusing us from singing (since we can't talk). HeHeHe.
After school tomorrow will be very hectic for me. I go through school without talking, then when school dismisses, I have to head over to my church for Confirmation at 4:00... since the other Confirmation members didn't show up after church on Sunday like they're supposed to. Then I decided that I'm staying at the church and doing homework since I can't afford to waste gas coming home for only half an hour before leaving again for youthgroup. So I won't be home from 7:00ish A.M. to 9:00ish P.M. :( Confirmation will be fun since I can't talk, so I'll just write everything.
Well, since this is getting long, I'll save my other thoughts for another time. (That way I can update more and somebody (Troy) won't keep telling me to update my lj... :P )
