99 Degrees When I Tell that Bitch Please
Today is excellent. It's been pretty sunny and warm, but for some reason there is no outdoor commotion in our neighborhood. There are a ton of kids under the age of 12 in our subdivision, so I thought this was odd considering it is Saturday and all. I was thinking it would be a good day to mow the lawn, but I was waiting for Mel to get up so he can weedwhack while I do that.
Anyway, I have been sitting outside on my back porch for the last hour or so, reading and exploring the internet. Mel came out and announced in a horrified tone that it was 99 degrees outside. The heat index (i.e., "feels like") temperature is 104.
I think this is great weather. The rest of my neighbors are probably inside watching TV in their air-conditioned homes.
I love summer.
