Today was extremely busy, its really that i was rushing as much as i just had alot of stuff and somehow didnt stress out about any of it.
In the morning i went to play it again sports and got some new arm pads then headed off to lacrosse in darien. That was fun except once again there was traffic on 75th at the same stoplight me and mike cross got stuck in for 20 minutes like a week ago. Im still not sure why it happened this time, no accident.
Then I went home and tried to figure out where our show is and what not, we didnt really know anything about the show at all except that it was in joliet in a farm house. Brandon came over with directions though and i found out that there was a number you can call for directions and it has like this recording thing on how to get to the party.
Then we had our first show, Ill just start this with something nicole gregus said when she got there...
"ok...jack, i wish you could have seen this road we took when we made the wrong turn....if i were going to go insane and kill somebody....i would go and do it, right there."
The place was sweet i thought and it was pretty cool in general, i know brandon and sammi hated the atmosphere of it but i kind of enjoyed the change. It was certainly interesting. 7 keggs and about enough pot to overdose a phish audience. When we started our set with our first song it really sounded bad, we played in this basement that kind of looked like it would be something out of a horror movie or something, and the acoustics there were really bad, so we adjusted our settings and everything got better. I think we played pretty damn good for a first show and only being a band 2 weeks. I think most of the crowd was drunk off their ass though, i dont think they will remember it anyway.
Then i went and saw the movie saw with jake brandon nicole sammi lindsay karleen minkus and laura. I really liked that movie, it kind of reminded of silence of the lambs, it wasnt like 'dead girl pops out of you every 10 seconds' scary, it was more of like a mysterious cool scary i just think it was good all around, many twists, i suggest everyone goes and sees it.
Anyway thanks for anyone who came out to the show last night (sammi karleen austin nicole & and lindsay) it was pretty out of the way. I think all around this is the best haloween weekend, i play a show at a farm that looks like ed gein used to live there, then see saw, and ofcourse today is haloween. Manly.
