Wow,this was a very painful chapter to get through but so powerful! When Brian purposely shut Justin out and didn't help him, it was very hard to read, I admit. But I understand why he did what he did and it does show how Brian has changed over the years due to Justin's influence. And it's also so sad to read of the happy times with their daughter when you know what happened later. But you promised us a happy ending eventually and I trust you. This is a very poignant, absorbing story. I will be anxiously waiting for the next installment.:)

A lot of this story is hard to read and write but they forced me to do it. Seriously they took me over and said, here is our story now write it no matter how much it kills you to. So here we are.
I do promise a happy ending, I hope you'll remain absorbed in this story as it continues. Thank you for reading, Rory
Your writing is so wonderful. My chest hurt while reading, the pain they are going through is horrible. I am so glad Justin finally told Brian he needed him. They have a long way to go and a lot of healing to do.

Thank you. It definitely hurt me to write a lot of this, but it is the story they wanted to tell me so I'm blaming Brian, Justin and Gus.
Justin hasn't been able to know what he needs in so long that he really needed the push to see it, though it's only the beginning still lots of angst to go before the healing truly begins.
Thanks for reading, Dee Dee, it's a pleasure to have you as a reader. :) Rory
I am impressed with the way you're describing the depression, the angst of Justin. The pain of both. I have a heavy heart from the beginning of the story (It pains me to see so broken their relationship is). Although today I sighed a little relief when Justin finally burst into tears. I was waiting the whole scene for this.

Thank you for the compliment, I am definitely immersed while writing this so there are times I'm unsure if I'm externalizing what I feel as them internally as they 'tell' me their story.
Justin still has a long way to go before the healing can truly start, but this was a step into reality for sure.
BTW, your icon is one of the biggest inspirations for this story. The scene and the desperation I feel from looking at it. So it is so fitting that you chose to use that one. I really love it, would you mind if I used it when posting a chapter one day?
Thank you for being a reader, and for your comments, I really appreciate it. :) Rory

I love all the angsty icons, apparently I don't have enough of them. They're always some of my favorite because it really gives credence to the saying, "A picture's worth a thousand words".
Thanks for letting me use it and good to know you had the same imagine in mind, I love knowing that its translated. I will credit when I use, thank you again. :) Rory
If there's anyone on this planet who can handle that level of tough love it's Brian. It just shows how deep his love is for Justin, to be willing to resort to almost anything to help him.
And Justin, finally showing the smallest glimmer of life... it was heart-wrenching to read.

YES! Exactly what I was going for to show. Thank you so much for summing that up so perfectly.
This glimmer Justin has, it may be small and he may not really notice what it means for him, but it is the beginning of healing, even if they are so far apart right now, he will find his way back to Brian and Brian to him.

This is a really great story so far. You were right when you said it maybe painful to read. It's very painful to read. I feel really bad for Justin, I can feel his pain with losing his daughter and everything. But, Brian's pain is really breaking my heart. He's lost both his daughter and husband, Justin may physically still be around, but he's completely deaf inside. Brian wants to be forgivin' so badly by Justin that it's slowly breaking him apart that he may never get the forgiveness and love from Justin again. This chapter there was a step in the right direction with Justin admitting that he needs Brian there. Their still going to need a lot of help if they want to fully get over this tragedy. Keep up the great work, can't wait until the next chapter.

Thank you. As painful as it is, it's only the beginning but that's because Justin hasn't allowed himself to feel anything and without Justin there to push Brian to feel too, he's sort of manic where his emotions are concerned. This was the start of Justin facing reality and though it will be hard to read, they will find themselves together once they deal with it all and really face the future, a future they realize will not include their child.
I'm glad to have you as a reader, Carlina, thank you so much for your thoughtful input. I look forward to hearing what you think as this story progresses further and unfolds more of their pain but also the light of the future and their love.
