Anyway.
It's...been a hell of a year thus far. I admit I've been a little shy of LJ ever since I dropped my last account (may it remain forever buried, and the drama of that portion of my life with it). I guess I feel narcissistic about posting a journal entry for everyone to read. Like I'm putting myself on display and saying, "Hey everyone, look at me! Isn't my life interesting??" I mean, it's...really not all that amazing. I don't have a lot going on right now.
Okay, that's a lie. There's a shitload going on, and it mostly all started last weekend at Otakon. There was....so much. So very much. My Marianne got a fantastic reception, I got to be part of rad Bandai stuff (thank you Henry, for not minding. It made my weekend.), got photos with emp_maniac as Lelouche and chibi_plum as Cornelia, took more photos with the latter as Shion and Mion from Higurashi. Made a few more connections, got a couple commissions, and...well, might be moving up to NYC inside of a month. I know, it's crazy and impulsive and out of the blue, but...I want it. And I want to be impulsive for once. I think it's got a good chance of working out. The girl I'd be staying with...well, even with certain extenuating circumstances, I really like her. We get along fantastically. We're supposed to hang out in 2 weeks when I'm up there (speaking of anyone in/around NYC--wanna hang out? I'll be up there the 28th through the 1st. =]), and I really hope we get along in person as well as we have online. She's really amazing. Going through some rough times, but then so am I, and girls like us have to stick together, ne? So in case she reads this...thanks for giving me a chance. <3
So, assuming all goes well, I'll be at both NYAF and AUSA. Anyone going to either? Plans?
I guess that's about it. Otakon was fantastic beyond words (I MISS YOU LINA <33333333), the next month is gonna be hectic beyond reason, I'm still alive and oddly hopeful for the future.
