Some work info...

So yeah, I try not to mention work, but frankly, it's starting to become a bit scary in how it's working lately. Or more appropriately, how it's falling apart at the financial strings. Or maybe it hit the iceburg of housing while sailing in the Architectanic.

Two more employees were 'let go' yesterday, the construction admin and a CAD guy. The only thing is they're not really "let go" since they're technically coming into work but at massively reduced hours. That's about 9 folks left, but I'm only there half the day as is, and there's bound to be another person let go at this rate next week.

So yeah, according to the 4th principal, we're looking at maybe being completely shut down by November 1st. I suppose I could try getting work with the office I'm getting rented out to, as a new permanent employee, but I have no clue how to broach that subject with EITHER employer.

I should check www.USAJobs.gov to see about getting a job with the Navy or Homeland Security. I know they have some IT/Computer-related jobs available. Still... I'm not worrying about it, but that doesn't mean I'm not actively trying to figure out what to do either.

And it seems everyone else I know is in bad shape as well, in some fashion or form. Silly me not wanting to trouble others with my issues.

Mostly I just hope this doesn't interfere with next year's Megaplex.
