My feet hurt. My head hurts. My stomach feels meh. I feel blah. My sinuses are killing me. And... I can't for the life of me figure out why folks like Perfect Dark.
No, seriously, I played the new Demo on XBL and I just don't see why folks love this game.
Example time: 30 seconds into Salen's infiltration of the super secret mega skyscraper. 2 guards have met an untimely retirement at the end of a silenced pistol. There's a security station that needs an EMP for me to disable in the room, a lightswitch that makes the room ungodly dark, and a grate covered doorway that won't open. Can't use the control panel, that says get an EMP device. Lightswitch makes the room ungodly dark and shooting the pistol only helps me see a little.
I spent the next 8 minutes frustrated. So I shot the control panel. It blew up. HOOZAH! That does something! It made the control panel a mess, and.... the door didn't open.
10 minutes later... lightswitch still makes things ungodly dark and the control panel is still dead. Insert more frustration, so I shot all over the place with my SMG.
And the control panel blew up into even less than broken before, and THAT opened the doorway. I then had the following Nostalgia Critic moment.
Like I said, I can't figure out why folks like this game.
