Very twitchy right now. Closing on the house has been delayed again. What happened to this time? My lender...

:( Sorry to hear this is happening to you. I know you are not a very pushy type of person but sometimes it helps to switch to "pushy customer mode" when the banks are doing stuff like this to you. Because really, there's no reason they can't be quicker about this. :\

At least they are notifying you beforehand that the date is being pushed back and pushed back again. With our house closing, Joe and I took the day off of work and then our mortgage officer would not answer her cell phone. It turned out we had to delay closing by another two days but she never told us this. She said "We'll try to get it today" and it never happened, then the next day, and finally that Friday (it was also the end of the month, that helped to get the number in their books for that month) I told her I'd had enough, I'd taken two days off of work and couldn't afford any more, we HAD to close that day. Somehow, we managed to close on the house at 7pm on a Friday, and everyone in the closing office was soooo nice about it. It was such a pain though. :\ Sadly, it also seems to be the norm...

Actually, that's half the reason. The one I mentioned is just the "Official" version. The loan officer also blamed my dad for not being able to get ahold of his roofer so he could be certified to fix the roof so instead I went with one that was certified and had quoted us already.

Of course my realtor gave me a copy of this email and I could see where she was like "Just give us an OFFICIAL Closing Date!" in the nicest, toughest way possible.

*sigh* Woo...

I really feel bad for my realtor since she's real nice and a friend of the family, so I actually apologized to her for all these delays since I'm sure it's just as rough on her as it is for me.
