Ok, so I've found myself in a quagmire of my own indecision once more. I do that from time to time, and this is no exception. I want a Playstation 3, but on the other paw I really don't want a Playstation 3. See what I mean on being indecisive?

1) Inexpensive Blu-Ray/DVD player. (Yes it still plays DVDs)
2) Rechargeable wireless controllers with rumble (no batteries to use)
3) The 80GB one with MGS4 is quite good on backwards compatiblity, including PS1 titles.
4) All saving, even for PS2 and PS1 is done on the system
5) Built in WiFi for networking
6) Card readers for data retrieval, but also supports USB drives/thumb drives.
Cons
1) No PS2 Accessories work natively, unless they were USB (but some USB adapters exist)
2) It IS expensive...
3) Not many EXCLUSIVES that are worth it yet. (But with PS1, PS2 support, and download, that is gonna change with more stuff coming in the pipe.)
4) You need to import all your PS1/PS2 save cards with a $15 USB accessory. (well, a one time purchase to import everything, not THAT big a deal)
5) DDR pads don't work even WITH an adapter it seems (that may change)
6) Rock Band stuff and Guitar Hero stuff don't work with eachother. (Because controllers don't need to hit a basic layout like on 360, they can work however designers want)
7) Older consoles come with SIXAXIS, not DualShock3
I second Tevon. I have a 60GB one, it's the BEST buy you can get for a PS3. If you can't do that, the MGS4 pack is a good deal. I do strongly reccomend the game, it's quite fun!
