You know, if the office manager was more tactful instead of sarcastically saying "Don't you watch the news?", when I answered 'No' to the question of "If I had heard about the Dell Notebook Battery Recall?" maybe I'd give more of a damn. Yes I watch the news, but only 10 minutes of it before I leave for work so I can be at the office by 7am.
Plus, she didn't even have the link to what notebook batteries were effected. Here's the Link for those that need it. She just wanted to panic because "these batteries are exploding in boardrooms". Its a good think I know 90% of what she says is BS or I'd be really worried. I think she feels its necessary to blow stuff of proportion to feel heroic or something. I think she makes a lousy superhero though, but a great supervillian.
I checked our notebooks, we're not going to explode. And all was right with the world. Thats what this post should have said, instead of me venting. Blah.
