Responsibilities

Responsibilities will cover full applications project lifecycle including initial project definition, requirement specification, design development, application development and testing, implementation planning, implementation support, and maintenance pertaining to several CSX Transportation tier 1 mission critical applications. Comprehensive documentation will be required for all stages of the applications project lifecycle.
The position requires individual and collaborative development and delivery of technical and business-oriented presentations in both one-on-one and team settings.
The position requires 24x7 on-call responsibilities on a rotation basis with other team members.

Qualifications
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Education in full applications development lifecycle is desirable.
DEGREE PREFERRED:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science; Information Systems; Information Science.

Object Oriented Design & Object Oriented Programming. Working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office application suite including Word, Excel, and Visio. Experience and comfort in working in a Windows-based PC environment. College level coursework or work experience performing system design and application development is desirable. Experience working in a mainframe MVS environment is desirable.

Other Requirements of the Job:
Applicant must be able to quickly grasp unfamiliar concepts and master unfamiliar technologies in a dynamic work environment through individual, personal training without the necessity of formal classroom instruction.
