I really like this poem Rhani. My family is originally from Tamworth and although I am a city girl at heart, I sometimes think I have a country soul. I love the images of the saddle, the colts and the droving trips and of cheques busted in old country pubs. Still my favourite parts of poems are generally the parts that attempt to be didactic, something like "So shape up and give of your best lad, And look on your foe as a friend." I really like the wisdom that sometimes comes with age.
'Old father time don't give change mate' That's awesome Rhanni. This poem imbues strength of character, and makes me feel the true wisdom of the human spirit. Count your blessings your a country girl. By the way, you and your husband make a lovely couple. Beautiful photos. They are so real! Bye, Marc.
