Something about nice weather....

...brings out the crazies on the road.

In just the 9 miles from the airport back to my house (and mind you, I'm only counting the return trip) I saw four people on their cell phones, one guy reading a map or instructions or something, nearly got sideswiped by a Suburban going 10 mph faster than anyone else on the road (traffic was going a steady 75 mph average in a 65 mph work zone) and couldn't decide which lane line he wanted his monstrosity of an SUV to hug, there was a car accident where the Durham Freeway splits off of I-40 (apparently the person ignored all the signs that the right lane was exit only, and cut through the median to stay on I-40, making the person who was in that lane to rear-end them) but did they move their vehicles off to the shoulder? No. They were right there in the lane, and from where I was with the monster van driven by BlueHair in front of me, if I decided to get into the right lane after the split, I would have plowed right into them. Then there were the two sports cars who were pacing each other when I did need to get into the right hand lane...bitch, don't give me that look when you finally give me space to get in that lane because I need to take my exit, when you wanted to get in the lane for the past mile and a half, had plenty of room the entire time, and weren't taking my exit. And finally...Granny, crossing Highway 54 at Homestead Market on foot right in front of me and other oncoming traffic is NOT a smart idea. Where the hell is your seeing eye dog, anyway?

ARGH.

I want to stay home now and hide.

Although the people upstairs aren't making it any better. With the amount of cleaning they've been doing over the past week (vacuuming at 8 am or 11:30 pm...what Quiet Hours?) they had better be moving out soon. This morning I swear they were lifting up one end of the bed int he room above mine to vacuum thoroughly underneath, then just dropping the bed back in place. I shit you not, it was that loud of a thunk. Oh, but then they had to get under the other corner that wasn't lifted up, so they did that, then dropped it into place. Oh, but now the bed isn't in the right place, so instead of pushing it, they're going to lift it up again and drop it. THUNK! I hate them so much...

stupid people
