A Pair of Teal Deers

I am alive! Okay, so I’ve been stuck on dial-up for the last two weeks, which sucks (mostly because I really wanted to stream Doctor Who episodes), got sick a week ago (am better now!), and spent way too much of the intervening time playing Oblivion, now that my brother actually has a computer that will run it ( Read more... )

lol twilight, bsg, public, meta, rhaella writes too much

Good thing Alice is just so *awesome*

I downloaded the books from the net, just a week or two, three ago. Read a chunk of Twilight, then went to like book 4 to read how she at least was as a vampire, then read a bit of book 2, went back to finish book 1, went on to book two and read chunks out of 3 and 4 again. And then I ordered them online, lol!

I'm now reading Midnight Sun, the first book in Edward's POV. It leaked online, so the author has put a pdf file of it on her website.

I watched the first movie, and it was quite sad, I guess, that they kept some or most of the dialogue out of the book in there. I mean, it is really bad, but it's not alway that bad. Get the e-books, so you can see without losing money, perhaps?

I'm gonna give that movie one more shot when the DVD version is out, in the hopes that I just saw a terrible cam or something. And there's gonna be a movie of Full Moon too, oh boy.

The flatness of the Bella character didn't hit me quite as hard in the books yet, but when she was put to film it was just EW. I mean, the actress doesn't even try to sell Bella like she should be doing, she just keeps a flat voice, so it's horrible, right?

Then yesterday we had a movie on telly called 'Speak', and in it, Kirsten Stewart (sp?), who plays Bella, was a girl who returned to high school after having had an accident, or something, and now she was half mute? Anyway, she walks into the school, guy takes a picture, she's in gym class, not being good at gym, etc, so that's exactly Bella... Urgh. She had to play that twice, it almost seems.

Well, have fun with the books, whatever you decide to do with them. The worst thing I have said about Twilight so far is that Bella and Edward seem to be two people PMSsing... *grin*

The e-books have been suggested before... I don't think my eyes could handle them, though. I'm so, so prone to chronic headaches, it's horrible.

I don't think I'm going to bother doing anything more with the series, seriously. Just needed to at least see what it was really about. XD
