And Gods, poor Allan. And poor Guy for that matter. But it's good that they're sticking together.
Also -
Her delicate hands hold up the ugly iron chain as if it's a bracelet of the finest silver and he realises with a shock just how strong those seemingly fragile feminine fingers actually are.
Brilliant - point made perfectly.

Guy's going to look after Allan - he is his boy after all...
I did think it was nice to try and get in Guy's head over how his view of Marian would have to change once he had a better idea what she was capable of.

I love the "trust" theme and the way it's handled. It's great to see Allan back to his old tricks (literally!), and Guy's intervention. And the Guy/Marian scene is wonderful. I love, love, LOVE the bit about Marian's hands; it's really interesting to see Guy slowly coming to terms with her identity as the Nightwatchman. The Guy/Vaizey scene is excellent too, especially the last line.
I really, really cannot wait for more. PLEAAAAAASE don't kill Marian this time! (Or Guy or Allan...)

And you'll just have to wait and see who makes it and who doesn't...
...but it's called 'Denial' for a reason ;)
