high school crushes
high school sweethearts. if you marry your high school sweetheart right out of high school, it will not last. IMHO. and i am also talking about recent generations. i know there are some seniors who are still married to their high school sweetheart and that's fine but it seems the more recent generations, marriages, in general, don't last.
my friends in high school who married their sweetheart are all divorced. i am talking about the people i know. i am sure there are some still married but this is based on personal experience. there are also some friends who married their sweetheart but i haven't heard about them in years so i don't know if they're still married or not. i lost touch with some of them.
who knows why they are all divorcing? affairs? sowing wild oats? fell out of love? financial trouble? i think high schoolers gotta wait.
i know many high schoolers are thinking they are THE ONE and they are truly in love. i don't doubt that. i was there myself. but a little patience won't hurt. get some life experiences. live a little. i read some of the high schoolers myspace and LJ pages. they are soooo in love. i wanna tell them what lies ahead, but they won't listen. they must learn for themselves. *sighs*
