Medical Update
Well, it seems that MRI I had the other day served a useful purpose. My 4/5 lumbar disc is shot to hell and a substantial chunk (almost as long and wide as the top part of my thumb) has broken off and is floating free, variously teasing this nerve or that nerve while its mother is annoying another nerve.
Thanks to the steroid regimen most of the pain has been replaced with mild discomfort and numbness, for now.
Bottom line is we're scheduling surgery sooner rather than later, though we may not be able to get in until Holy Week. Dr. Frank Genovese, who worked on Uncle Sy, will be going in to remove the loose chips and aggressively attack the mother disc until it submits. After that about 30 days of at home rehab, so I should finally be able to collect on my disability policy that I've been paying premiums on since 1980.
I expect The Judge Report to continue virtually uninterrupted.
