This week's featured article is El Rincon Quiteno, an Ecuadorian cafe/restaurant in Holloway, just down from Holloway Road Station.

Cunningly, it is disguised as a sandwich shop - you have to specifically ask for a menu if you want something other than sandwiches/jacket potatoes/etc. The Ecuadorian food there is pretty good though - perhaps the best kidney beans I've had in quite some time (stewed with pork, apols to the vegetarians). I only know of one other place in London that does Ecuadorian food; Costa Azul on the Old Kent Road. Anyone know of any others?

This also makes me wonder what other exciting places I've walked past without realising that they're something out of the ordinary. Royal Palace would be another one - I only realised it wasn't just a sweet-and-sour-chicken place after reading about it on Chowhound.
