I tried to post this yesterday, but ... you know how it goes.
So anyway, we went to the library just to get the kids a few videos and some books, and when we got there I found a 'Friends of the Library' book sale cart! They had paperbacks for 20 cents a piece! How can any bibliophile worth their time of pronouncing that label, pass up such a great deal? Obviously, I can't. I got four books, one of which I never expected to find again, that was "Lord Foul's Bane. The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever Book One" by Stephen R. Donaldson. I had the first two in the series until my dad emptied out the garage, where 90% of my library was in storage, and left everything out in the rain, unprotected. *shudder* Anyway, since the books are out of print, I never expected to finish reading the series, let alone find a copy.
The others I found are unknown to me they include a stand alone novel from Angus Wells called, "Lords of the Sky". And then the first, (Wizard's First Rule), and third, (Blood of the Fold), installments of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series.
If any of my well read friends have thoughts and/or opinions on any of these, please feel free to chime in.
Thanks!
