Aside from my unexpected demon-researcher (she was researching demons, I didn't believe she was one... I think...) things were relatively quiet. My own research, looking into vampires who used one of their own as bait in order to hunt vampire hunters hadn't borne any particularly worthy fruit.
It wasn't that none of them did it -- the fact was, far too many of them had thought up that ploy for me to be able to narrow it down to any one group if vampires of other in particular. And, a new Master Vampire with the usual cadre of minions wasn't exactly banner-headline news on the Hellmouth.
Giving up on that for the time being, I turned my attention to Hiranyakashipu, the Indian demon Buffy had mistaken for a sneeze.
