Does Not Compute

Jul 10, 2009 21:52

You know what's worse than a bad cliche?

An over-used, meaningless euphemism. They rarely make anybody feel better and usually leave a nasty aftertaste. I'll give you a list of ten, on one topic, to establish context for the comment, "Today was not a good day."

1. Downsizing
2. Dynamic rightsizing
3. Restructuring/Reorganizing
4. Pink-slipped
5. Let go
6. Laid off
7. Outsourced
8. Sacked
9. RIF'ed, and
10. *Trump hand flick*

I've always preferred a good dysphemism anyway.

Today sucked ass.

rl, nonsense
