I don't know if this is an indication of how much we are at the pharmacy or just good business from an outstanding pharmacist - But both she and her assistant recognize me when I show up at the counter.
I use the Target pharmacy, simply because it eliminates one more stop in my sometimes hectic day. And if I happen to be dragging around Child, it makes it slightly easier on him too. Plus, I really like the whole color-coded bottle thing they do to keep medications separate. (Although I hardly think this is unique to Target.)
Child has been sick recently. On Saturday, we were supposed to go to the Lowes Build & Grow Clinic, but he slept until 10am. During a minor post-lunch tantrum, I told him to go lay down in his bed if he was going to behave like that. To my surprise he did. Until 4pm. At that point he was running a 102 fever so the twins' birthday party was out. The next day he coughed so hard that he threw up all over me and my husband. Which eliminated going to his cousin's birthday party.
Monday I got him out of bed and ready for school, but when I took his temperature, it was 99. So I decided to wait and see what happened. On the way to school, he did the cough/gag thing again and so we turned around and went home where we spent the rest of the day playing quietly or soaking up vast quantities of Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters. And a Doctor visit with a stop at the pharmacy for antibiotics. Tuesday is no school, so it was exactly like Monday, except for the minor mental breakdown when I realized I had been locked in the house for 4 days with a sick child.
So the sick child is getting a whole pharmacy of medications every morning: 5 total including nebulizer/breathing medicine, then more breathing at lunch and another 3 at dinner.
Its no wonder the pharmacist knows my name.
