The
snow leopard is an endangered big cat native to the high mountains of Asia--from Tibet through the eastern frontier of Central Asia into Siberia and Mongolia--that might be most famous for giving its name to a
Macintosh operating system. In July 2007, two snow leopard cubs
were born as part of a captive breeding program that has seen 28 leopards born at the Toronto Zoo. I'm quite fond of this shot of one of them.
