I've a
post up at Demography Matters taking a look at Bangladesh. The country has done quite well for itself since independence, with a relatively advanced demographic transition set to combine with decent enough governance and a moderately dynamic economy.
Emigration is a noteworthy issue, but then, it would have to be; Bangladesh never made sense as a self-contained economic unit separate from its former hub of Calcutta in Indian West Bengal, or trade with the wider world, for that matter. Manage, don't stigmatize.
