"On a good day, I fight for my country
In my own way, I fight like a green beret"
--The Animators
Today was just a good day. I woke up early (after getting lots of sleep, although that's another story), went to work, got tickets for the bus to the Yale-Princeton game this weekend.
Had lunch, then I voted. Which means I've done my civic duty in a number of ways this week: I prevented the spread of the flu, and promoted the spread of democracy. And granted, I may not have had much of an effect in either (I have a reasonably tough immune system, and I live in a pretty damn blue state),
I had a meeting with my JP advisor. I wasn't at all looking forward to this. I haven't done any real work and was expecting (somewhat irrationally) for him to jump on me. He was actually pretty nice about it, though. And I think I'm in a... well, a tolerable place, anyways. All in all, came out pretty well (the meeting, that is).
Went to dinner, went to ORF precept, came back, did some work on Physics, since I have Jazz vespers tomorrow night, and will miss the first bit of problem session.
And to cap it all off, the democrats have the house. And maybe the senate? We'll see in the morning.
