Finally Back

Damn, that was a long week.

Okay, so frosh trip was pretty fun. My frosh were cool, and we got to do a lot of fun stuff like ropes courses, day hikes, and whatnot. OA 94: Ultimate Ultimate Champions!

On wednesday (still on Frosh Trip), I got stung in the leg by a bee. I monitored myself for a systemic reaction, and (other than some hives that were probably from my exercise allergy) was fine. That day, we went on a 9.7 mile day hike. This is apparently a bad thing to do if you've been stung in the leg by a bee, since afterwards my leg and ankle swelled up to massive proportions.
On thursday I tried taking some benadryl and tylenol... No effect. We went swimming later in the day, so it was nice to get some cool water on it.
On friday it was time to go back anyways, so I took some more benadryl, and just stuck it out until I got back to campus, since it didn't hurt or anything. I took a shower upon returning home, then hobbled over to McCosh. They took a look at it, then sent me over to PMC (read: the hospital). Once there, I had a blood test, and my D Dimer (?) was high, so I had an ultrasound. I'm Pregnant! oh, whoops... I mean there wasn't any clot in my leg. So then I got sent back to McCosh and was given some steroids (damn, there go my Tour de France/MLB aspirations).

McCosh kept me there for the last two nights, and I was released this morning. Coolness.
