Next weekend is the Marathon and I'm looking forward to exhausting myself with fun
This week will be a long one, but I still plan on working Friday night for a new dad to take the night off, and then going to the runners expo with the children on Saturday, finishing everyone's taxes on Sunday and then watching the race on Monday and sleeping like the dead through the remainder of my day off. The crocuses are up in the garden, and the daffodils have sprouted. Today was "Low Sunday," so the Youth Groups took over our service. It was lovely - they picked out a couple readings which were a little too heavy for my springtime mood, but in general it was a cheerful, uplifting morning. Mom came along to watch the show, and the recessional hymn was Rainbow Connection , sung by all ages and their butterfly puppets (originally written for Kermit and the Muppets).
