Anyone here watch Stargate? (AKA: Tim did you finish off those CDs I handed you, yet? If not, stop reading if you don't want SPOILERS!)
Didn't you enjoy SG1 episode 3 this season? Very cool! I just liked how the SGA and SG1 characters interacted -- it's just good writing. I mean, Daniel and Elizabeth, Mitchel and Shepard... and of course, Sam and Rodney! ;) But anyway, that's not why I bothered to write this.
It was the SGA (that's Stargate Atlantis for those of you fools who don't watch the shows!) episode 3 that prompted this. See, there's this "enemy" in there that uses a sort of love potion to make everyone like him better -- including our Atlanteans, of course. (Admit it, Tim, you were hoping Elizabeth would get a little more excited about him and start running around topless, weren't you?) But anyhow, the episode itself was only okay -- but the "bad guy"... he scared me! Not because he was a particularly good villian, but because he reminded me VERY strongly of my priest!
Yes, this is the priest who, every time he opens his mouth, I want to smack. HARD. He's just got this insanely oily voice that seems like its trying to tell you: "Of course you can trust me! I'm the most honest and friendly person in the whole world!" Makes me distrust him INSTANTLY. Anyhow, it was very strange watching a scifi program with my priest playing the main "bad guy" (I mean, he even LOOKED like this priest!). VERY strange experience!
