A Proper Pariah's Polemic

Aug 31, 2011 20:28

I'm getting burnt by playing with Tir Ysgithr anymore:  I'm tired of showing up, putting myself out there, carrying myself with an optimistic demeanor, and being avoided, received without any enthusiasm, seeing an absolute lack of want for my presence, or having an elephant in the room for almost every conversation.

SO I DUMPED THE NEW BARONIAL ( Read more... )

Seriously?! I am so clueless. I had no idea she was the Baronial favorite. I am obviously hanging out with wrong people. Whatever.

And can I say I find it incredibly disingenuous for Ed to be all offended about Vallawulf openly acknowledging the fact that his wife lets him have a toy? Am I really the only one who noticed that?

Did I miss something that Vallawulf said/did? Now I'm curious.

Between his two profiles, he changed his relationship status to "in a relationship" with both Barb and Tiffany and his status with Barb from "married" to "it's complicated". He has said things in the past that indicate he is "allowed" to sleep with other women at war and stuff as long as he doesn't bring home anything that requires food and lodging. He got a LOT of crap over it, and while it's not my thing and I think it was kind of silly to advertise it that way, I think it's not as bad as being all sneaky about it and trying to pretend no one knows what's going on.

Oh. /Sigh @ Vallawulf on the one hand, but it is his choice and his consequences to deal with. I just wish a few other people would get hit harder with consequences, but hey, what else are clueless wives for?

Well, one such person is one more "just the tip" incident away from divorce number three, all of them due to his indiscretions, and this one is going to cost more than just his house this time around.

Yeah, that's the thing. I don't believe for a minute that Barb is clueless, which makes it their business and I'm content to leave it to them. I do seriously want to puke when other people constantly brag on how much they love their amazing family while surreptitiously chasing skirt on the side.

I missed that (the Ed & Vallawulf part), but yeah - I watched gilchrist, boba, and several others speak with me like they were doing a chore, then run up all bright faced to Joany last night. Fuggerdygrumbles...

I can assure you that Gilchrist is one of your strongest supporters. The boy's a true friend even when you're not around. He may not be the best at showing or expressing it, but... he values your friendship greatly.

Yeah, I get that feeling from him most of the time. Good to know though, thank you.

Yeah, I truly would not have expected that from Gilchrist. He's goofy as all hell sometimes, but seems like he's got a better head on his shoulder's than that.

It makes me sad that you feel blown off, cause you're one of the big reasons I've gotten to know and appreciate some of the rapier crowd. You should know that I value you tremendously, even if I am frequently too lazy and scatterbrained to leave my little waterbearing world and come show that to you. I think I probably believe I am "not pestering you" as opposed to not making the effort and that is a failing on my part.
