So sneeze we all and other news
I swear we do it to our selves - the only place I feel that is worse than an office for spreading contagious colds is a Lab-office combo. One - you're always working side by side, whether on the computer or at a lab bench; Two - You're often dealing with chemicals that can lower your immune levels, or at the least affect your prescription meds (70% ethanol anyone?) and for most scientist "what are work hours?" aka little sleep and massive stress due to due dates and grants; Three - The 'sharing is caring' mentality otherwise known as selective ignorance: "I'm not sick, I can work today", "I'm no longer contagious", "I have to get this done no matter what I feel" or "I have to turn off that machine, I won't contact anyone".... There is also the not so hygenic practice of food and drinks (snacks and lollies) that are consumed in the Office, which are within spitting distance of the Lab, quite often while still in a lab coat.
Don't forget that every pen is a general consumable and is fair game to be stolen/ replaced/ bitten/ hidden/ used up by everyone else...
The play of the infection - marketing picks it up and flat passes it off to finance, finance kicks a grubber to sales who catches it squarely and looks around during lunch to see that R&D are in position. R&D passes it around themselves for a short while slowing down the play then sees QC running full tilt and easily sails one straight to them for the easiest try of the year.

I have three atlantis drabbles (well one's closeer to a double drabble) that I'm thinking of posting, both here and in the communities. Just wondering if anyone is willing to beta them for me?
Don't forget that every pen is a general consumable and is fair game to be stolen/ replaced/ bitten/ hidden/ used up by everyone else...
