Opening Credits: Blue (Bird Shake Mix)- A Perfect Circle
Okay, so this song is obviously a mix of the original, so it's filled with more beats and the like, more ambient and slightly creepy. Since the lyrics are about not accepting something inevitable, this seems to be a rather depressing start to a life filled with denial! yay!
Waking Up: Snail- Smashing Pumpkins
As the title implies, this song is fairly slow. As I am in the morning. However, it picks up about a minute in, and is fairly upbeat.
First Day of School: My Immortal- Evanescence
I'm not quite sure how this works out... college, or high school, or elementary school, or what? I mean, who's leaving me on the first day of school? My mother? bof.
Falling in Love: On a Plain- Nirvana
"I love myself better than you." Okay then.
Fight Song: Seize the Day- Newsies
This really doesn't apply. Besides the fact that Christian Bale is in the movie, and makes an awesome Batman. And I suppose it could represent an eagerness to fuck some bitches up. Or something. "Proud and defiant, we'll slay the giant..." Yea...
Breaking Up: Moana- Deftones
Angry and dark, as most Deftones music is. Good.
Prom: We Only Come Out at Night- Smashing Pumpkins
That's just creepy.
Life: Sweet Sangria- Tori Amos
Huh. What an ironic Friday night.
Driving: My Friends- Red Hot Chili Peppers
This works, I guess. It's chill, happy, but I don't usually listen to that sort of thing in the car.
Flashback: Joan- Butch Walker
Now THAT is appropriate. Courtney and I used to sing it to each other all the time. I even have a representational drawing she did on my wall at home.
Getting Back Together: Paranoid Android- Radiohead
An odd choice, considering it does not represent safety and security, but implies deception and nervous complexes. This is not reassuring.
Wedding: Played- Mindless Self Indulgence
Wow my love life really sucks.
Party: You Wouldn't Believe- 311
Sounds like a sweet party. The beat is "hot", it can be danced to in a bob-your-head-and-rock-out sort of way, which is obviously the best kind.
Birth of A Child: The Gloaming (Softly Open Our Mouths in the Cold)- Radiohead
Ack this song is totally creepy! And awesome! Go abnormal babies!
Final Battle: Roulette- System of a Down
I don't like this song. It's annoying and filled with indecision. And it is not loud and angry, so clearly I lose this fight and die a miserable and dishonorable death. Fuck.
Funeral Song: Burn it to the Ground- Donnie Darko Soundtrack
Right. Well this is appropriate. Maybe as a ghost I return to take my revenge on all the pedophiles in the area. Oh sweet vengeance...
Ending Credits: Finally Reborn- Dirge of Cerberus
Ah-hah! There will be a sequel, and I totally come back as a bad ass next time, not some weakling controlled by bad relationships and indecision! YES!!!
Yea. Sorry, I forgot how to cut.
