Where did summer go???
So I just realized how long it has been since my last post, but that is what happens when one goes to school on the quarter system. The past 3-4 weeks went by in a huge blur because of all the tutoring I did. Tutoring statistics on a regular 10 week quarter can be tough, but doable. Tutoring statistics on an 8-week quarter is nothing short of hell for both the tutor and the students. I don't think 4, 5, or 8 week classes should exist, because there is almost no way of learning and retaining anything.
In other news, I am super excited for next Friday, because that is when I'm leaving to go on vacation with my boyfriend before school starts. We're going to Las Vegas to visit his family and then hopefully drive to some national parks. I'm hoping we can go to Death Valley, because that is my favourite place in the world! The surreal atmosphere just... enchants me. I love the emptiness of the desert and the openness of the ground and sky. My last trip there took place 5 years ago. I took dozens of photos, but my computer at the time crashed and erased all my photos of the place. So, I am prepared to replenish my collection. :)
Even though I'm excited for our trip, it will bring us one week closer to the start of school. This year I will be a junior, which means I actually need to be responsible and plan ahead for the future and get an internship and blah, blah, blah. At least my cost accounting textbook looks fascinating (and no, I'm not being sarcastic here... it looks really cool) and I hope my classes will be nothing short of AWESOME this quarter.
