The Slog Movie
Back in the early 80's my friend Dave Markey directed a couple of seminal movies centered around the LA punk scene. From there, he ventured into music videos - beginning with punk and then moving onto... well, mainly alternative bands. Here's his IMDB page...
He's asked me recently to help him out on some projects. Last weekend the Silent Movie Theater was showing a couple of Dave's movies - The Slog Movie, a really cool LA punk doc - and Desperate Teenage Lovedolls. Dave spoke in between the showings of the movies. And they invited one of the fans to come up and bludgeon the "Ghost of Punk" pinata.
It was grand fun!
