"In January you received an e-mail from me appealing for assistance with the problem of students smoking in 15 West and throwing used cigarette butts onto the roof. If you remember, at that time Facilities had noticed the library roof leaking and removed the source: 30 pounds of cigarette butts from the roof. Unfortunately, some students have continued to smoke within the building and are still throwing butts onto the roof. This week I received notice that 100 cigarette butts are being removed weekly from the roof. I have also been receiving complaints from residents who state that they smell smoke from neighboring rooms and stairwells. Some students have serious medical concerns that are agitated by the inhalation of this smoke."
