Mind you, I'm not talking about particularly exciting cooking; basically I've moved from "boil-in-a-bag rice" to "remove the rice from the boiling bag and try cooking it in something," in this case chicken soup. I was trying for sort of chickeny rice but what I ended up with was, well, chicken-and-rice soup. Next time I try this I'm not going to add the can of water to the soup stock, and possibly I'll bring the soup to a boil before I add the rice.
Tastes good, though.
And tomorrow: rice . . . and Dinty Moore stew!
(Shut up, I'm taking baby steps.)
