(no subject)
I continue to improve. :) Only 7.258 miles today (didn't stop at DQ, didn't bike to my morning job since I was running late) but I did it in 34 minutes, 4 seconds, averaging 12.8 mph.
And yeah, I'm totally using my bike odometer as an excuse to get me posting to LJ more often. If I start to bore myself with the bookkeeping I might start lj-cutting the stats.
In other news . . . what other news is there. Hrm. See, this is why I don't usually update my LJ very often, I seldom actually have things to say.
Aha! PK, that was a very timely comment. ;) The ideas I currently have rattling around near the front of my brain that I most actively want to write but can't pin down alone long enough to really focus on are:
Jamie Madrox from X-Project interns with Harry Dresden to learn private-eyeing. Hilarity ensues and the obligatory building burns down. Harry might get to make fun of Jamie's coat rather than the other way around.
The backstory and motivations of the dwarven death knight I'm going to be playing in WoW when the new expansion comes out. This is mostly on hold until I find out more about the death knight starter quests and suchlike from beta leaks, but I still keep getting ideas for how he ends up signing on with the forces of darkness (and why he's going to end up touring Northrend with Smoot's paladin Leonidas in quite possibly the most disturbing buddy movie ever.)
The rewrite/continuation of the Baldur's Gate 2 fic I was writing ages ago involving my protagonist working his way through the Spellhold questline. Mostly this crops back up when I hear Matchbox 20's "How Far We've Come" on my iPod.
And this sort of flashback/timeparadox/thingy idea I had for commemorating my raid's first Archimonde kill, where my druid gets to have a talk with himself before kicking giant demon ass.
I just need to pick one and start working on it, is what I need to do, but I can't decide.
