Hmm.
I think I'd like to start saving for a new video card. I'm currently running a GeForce FX 5200--came with the computer back when it was a newish computer in early January 05, and it wasn't top-of-the-line then. I'd like to upgrade to at least a GeForce 6600 or equivalent so I can get NWN 2 and have at least the minimum system requirements; what I'd actually like to get is the best video card I can buy for, say, $100-150 three or four months from now. Suggestions, peanut gallery?
Also, since this will be the first time I've replaced a video card and I'm curious (I may need reminding three or four months from now)--what happens when you install it? I mean, does it come with a basic set of hardcoded drivers that'll, you know, work your monitor so you can see what you're doing as you install/update the real drivers or do you have to preinstall or what?
