Update on Dad
Dad had his open heart surgery. They repaired two heart valves and did three by-passes instead of the five. He almost died monday...he went into fibrillation on the operating table. They did a burn procedure on the back of the heart to help stabilize this.
He has survived the ordeal thus far. Mom has been suffering angina all through this...I feel she is the next to go into the hospital. I had her there just two weeks before dad. Dad actually had a heart attack waiting to see a doctor at the V.A. He had more damage than anyone expected...we thought he just had a bladder infection going into the hospital.
I am having trouble focusing on work needless to say. I tried to have someone cover for me and they really messed up the works...I may lose an account over it.
I am afraid to start adding up all the medical bills. Dad's operation is covered by the V.A. but there are all the incidentals. I am still trying to figure out mom's. There is not going to be much of a christmas this year on gifts. The greatest gift will be just to have dad home.
