Dear Rex,
As the year comes to a close I want to apologize for your life. All those unrealized dreams of youth...dashed and comprised over the years. I am sorry for the way you are right now. I know you are very ill yourself even though you always write about your parents problems. The diabetes has taken a toll on you and I know you are frustrated with your doctors.
On the upside you are still here. Many of your comrades long since have past...poor Joyce and Steve...I know you are praying for Jamie and her cancer...God answers prayer Rex...keep praying.
You are employed with a decent company...I know you had big dreams of building a mega brokerage and leaving a footprint on this world behind. But, sometimes Rex it is not the footprint you leave in the sand but the hearts that you touch along the way. We never know in this life who we all effect...so lift your eyes up instead of down. It is easy to fret and stew...but you can't see where you are going or for that matter where you have been looking downward.
I know you have faith so I won't start preaching at you. I just want to let you know I have not forgotten you. You see ...I see you for what you are everday behind the mirror. You are not that grey haired old fart you see starring back at you...for in my eye you are still that thin lad that sees into other's souls. Use that gift Rex...I am praying for you behind the mirror.
God Bless Rex...
